Group 2 trip to Mt. Blanca with Colorado Four Wheelers Club. August 22nd, 2026

This weekend, Group 2 will be doing a very special trip to one of the state's toughest trails, Mt. Blanca Peak. We will be tag-teaming this trail with the Colorado Four Wheelers Club for this one. *NOTE* This is a VERY DIFFICULT trail and not to be taken lightly. Over the years, several people have died on this trail after rollovers. It is rated an 8 out of 10 for difficulty. Due to the difficult nature of this trail and the high likelihood of damage to vehicles, there will only be a select few that will be allowed go on this trip. Minimum requirements include: 35" tires, lockers front and rear, a winch (and proper ability to use it), and lots of suspension articulation. In order to be on the list of attendees, you are required to get in touch with one of our directors, either Mike or Sam - NO EXCEPTIONS. If you have not gotten prior approval from one of them you will not be permitted to attend.

Both clubs will meet at the trailhead at 9 AM. The plan will be to complete the trail to Lake Como and then camp up there overnight. The next morning you will return the way you came back to the highway. However, director Mike plans to go up with the group and then come back down the trail the same day and not stay overnight. If you would like to go but not stay, please get in touch with him.

The trail leaders for this trip will be the directors of the Colorado Four Wheelers club. As members of CSC4W, you are expected to adhere to the instructions and spotting of those directors.
