This weekend there will be two Group 1 trips in the St. Elmo area.

Group 1 will head over Hancock Pass to the Alpine Tunnel trail.  This trail has been closed for the last few years due to workers repairing the damaged trail from a rock slide. We are anticipating this trail being open by August. If for some reason it's not, we'll do another trail in the area.

The leaders will be Emilio and Kirk

Group participants for this trail will meet in the large parking area on the East side of St. Elmo at 9 AM, will head to the trail from there.

The other Group 1 trip will wheel up Mt. Princeton.  The leaders will be Sam and Jim.

Group participants will be meeting at the intersection of County Rd. 321 (paved) and County Rd. 322 (gravel) at 9 AM and will head to the trail from there.

If you would like to camp in the area Friday night to make it easier to get to the meeting place Saturday morning you are welcome to do so. There are several places to camp at dispersed sites. Most of the official campgrounds in the area are very busy and usually full. We may send out some locations of where to camp when we get closer to the trip.
