BONUS TRIP to see the Solar Eclipse in Utah

Trip to SE Utah to Muley Point to watch the Annular Solar Eclipse that will happen on Oct. 14th.

Do you want to get a first hand look at the solar eclipse next weekend? Do you want to be in the direct path of the eclipse to get the best view? Did you even know that a solar eclipse was happening next weekend? This location will be within the direct swath of the eclipse for best viewing from a scenic vantage point at Muley Point.

If you want to go to Southeast Utah to see a very rare event in a beautiful place then this is for you! Please note that this is not primarily a four-wheeling trip, but a special trip to see the sights near Monument Valley and the eclipse. Sam will be leading a group to scenic Muley Point, which is a high mesa 1000' above the floor of the valley below to view the eclipse on Saturday, October 14th. He will be going out early to hopefully reserve some camping spots on Thursday. On Friday, he will be leading either a tour of Monument Valley or driving a 4x4 trail in that same area. You will need to contact Sam to get the final details before the trip.

The details on the actual eclipse are as follows:
It will start to be visible at 9:10 am on Saturday, will be at maximum intensity at 10:30 am, and will end at 12:00 noon.

You will need to provide your own safety glasses to view the eclipse.  If you don't keep a pair of eclipse glasses around, you can purchase a pair (or two) from this web site (or on Amazon):
