Saran Wrap/Eagle Rock Trip Report 2008

We started off at Lithia Jeep with a tasty breakfast, “A big Thanks to Lithia for providing a great breakfast”.

We had 14 vehicles that joined us for Group II. We headed up the canyon and went up Saran Wrap. After spotting folks up the hill we had lunch and headed down to go up Eagle Rock.

Unfortunately Pete Johns scrapped against a tree and took off his spare tire rack and CB antenna, so he had no communication with the group. He was able to get the rack inside “Big Bertha” as Pete and Jami call it. Then we began our venture up Eagle Rock. When we reached 10,400 ft in elevation there was snow.

The group tried shoveling through but after breaking 3 shovels we decided to turn around. We had an excellent day, weather and fellowship was wonderful. A huge “Thanks” to Pete Johns for assisting in leading this trip since Dave was unable to make it. Hopefully the snow will melt and we can try Eagle Rock sometime later in the season.
