Wheeler Lake 2010 Trip Report
TRIP REPORT FOR: August 21st, 2010 -
The Wheeler Lake Trip started off at 8am with a breakfast at Faricy Boys Jeep dealership. Ryan the Sales Manager with Faricy Boys held a Jeep Trivia question for some nice door prizes. Thank you Faricy Boys for a great breakfast that started a great day for the CSC4W club.
Thanks to all of the Directors & Members that showed up to support the club at the breakfast.
After leaving Faricy Boys with 13 vehicles, we headed out for the Wheeler Lake Trail with a stop at Fairplay to gas up. At that time we picked up and additional eight more vehicles. On the road to the trail we all aired down to get ready for the trail. We started on the trail heading to the top of Wheeler Lake at 2pm. We stopped for lunch just before Bowling Ball hill, which is just below the lake. After lunch we then headed up to Wheeler Lake. On the trip up to Wheeler Lake we ran into vehicles coming down. Most of the member made it to the Lake & some of us stay at the bottom until the group returned back to where we had lunch. We all started heading back down the trail around 5pm. During the trip everyone had time to take pictures and to enjoy the scenery. No break downs! It was a great day!
