APRIL 18 SATURDAY – ANNUAL CLUB KICKOFF
Held at First Nazarene Church, Free Lunch at 12 Noon
Meeting at 10:00 A.M., Door Prizes, Registrations,
Fellowship, Articulation Ramp, Special Speakers.
APRIL 25 SATURDAY - TWO FAVORITE TRIPS
Group 1 – METBERRY GULCH – Denny Hage & Dick Dyar
Depart – 8:00 a.m. - Safeway, Colorado Avenue, west of 31st St.
Bring your picnic lunch, camera, hiking shoes for awesome views.
This is the site of the famous burned down Custer’s Cabin.
Group 2 – CHINAMAN GULCH – Bob Robson & Bob Ribisi
Depart – 7:00 a.m. – Safeway, Colorado Avenue, west of 31st St.
Great challenge for spring’s first trip, over toward Buena Vista

MAY 9 SATURDAY – UNIFIED TRIP TO CHINA WALL
8:00 a.m. – BREAKFAST AT FOUR WHEEL PARTS

Group 1 - This trip takes us out past Lake George and north on
Tarryall Road with great views, several challenges, lunch by the
Tarryall River at a very picturesque location.
Group 2 - You can tackle more difficult spots with various
options as Group 1 watches. Denny Hage & Dick Dyar
MAY 23 SATURDAY – TEXAS CREEK AREA
Group 1 – Rollie Becker & Bob Ribisi
Depart – 8:00 a.m. – Safeway Store, Hwy. 115 & S. Academy Blvd.
Possible campout trip, more details to be provided.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND – ANNUAL MOAB TRIP

JUNE 6 ANNUAL TRAIL CLEANUP DAY WITH FOREST SERVICE
SATURDAY – MT. BALDY AREA
Trip Leader – Dick Dyar
Depart –8:00 a.m. – St. Paul’s Catholic Church (behind Broadmoor Hotel)
This is our adopted Trail System. Bring gloves, water, shovel, rake, and lunch.
Work all morning. Trail run after lunch & work is finished.
Group 1 – MT. BALDY, as far as the snow depth allows
Group 2 – EAGLE ROCK, depending on conditions that day
Only by volunteering will our trails remain open. Please support the club.
JUNE 20 SATURDAY – XRRA ROCK RACES – Trip Leader - Bob Robson
This is a day for most of us to observe some very special
high performance rock buggies race over incredible terrain.
Unbelievable driving skills & awesome maneuvers.
JUNE 27 SATURDAY – RAINBOW FALLS & CARNAGE CANYON
Group 1 – Dick Dyar & JoDel Jerred, Departure – 9:00 a.m.,
Safeway on Colorado Ave., going up to Woodland Park, then
Hwy. 67 to Rainbow Falls Park, following a variety of trails.
Bring lunch & your camera & lots of drink! Will be very warm.
Obstacles with go-arounds, will be fun to watch others try.
Group 2 – Bob Robson & Pete Johns, Departure – 7:00 a.m.,
Safeway on Colorado Ave., going over to Buena Vista area, Hwy. 24
This is one of the toughest trails on our Calendar this year. It is near
Chinaman’s Gulch and much more difficult. Talk to Trip Leaders!
Lunch on the trail, hopefully home by dark, depending on breakage.
JULY 10 FRIDAY NIGHT & SATURDAY – UNIFIED CAMPOUT
Campout at base of Mt. Antero near Baldwin Creek, lots of trees
Depart Friday – 3:00 p.m. – Safeway on Colorado Avenue
Be ready & prepared, gas, food, camping gear, etc., in advance
To Buena Vista, south to Nathrop, west almost to St. Elmo, then
Mt. Antero turnoff south to campsite.
SATURDAY DETAILS: MT. ANTERO OR GRIZZLY LAKE
Group 1 – Denny Hage & Dick Dyar, Departure – 9:00 a.m.
Continue on up the trail to top of Mt. Antero parking area
Lunch near the top in picturesque spot, Unbelievable views.
Some of the best Shelf Roads & Switchbacks in the state.
Great place for others to take your picture with your vehicle.
Should be back home by dark, or eat dinner out with someone!
Group 2 – Dave Chladek & Bob Robson, GRIZZLY/IRON CHEST
Departure – 9:00 a.m., Continue on towards St. Elmo, Take left on
Hancock Pass Rd., possibly do both trails if weather holds out.
Eat out with others back in Buena Vista, home after dark!
JULY 24 FRIDAY NIGHT & SATURDAY – CAMPOUTS FOR BOTH
Group 1 – GREAT SAND DUNES NATIONAL PARK
Tom Thompson, Departure – 2:00 p.m. at the
Safeway on Hwy. 115 & South Academy Blvd., We travel south to
Medano Pass & campout. Sat. Departure – 9:00 a.m.
Cross over the Sangre De Cristo Mountains to the Sand Dunes.
Eat lunch under a pavilion, play for hours on the dunes,
Depart about 4:00 p.m. for home, Same way back, home at dark.
Options: Families may stay overnight & return home on Sunday.
Group 2 – HOLY CROSS TRAIL
Randy Musselman & Pete Johns, Departure – 2:00 p.m at the
Safeway on Colorado Ave., Long drive on Hwy. 24, Buena Vista,
Leadville, close to Holy Cross & Camp Hale area for Campout.
Trip Leaders will decide Sat. a.m. departure time, need early start.
Home late Sat. evening, eat dinner on the way.
Option: campout another night, come home Sunday with family
AUGUST 8 SATURDAY – MINERS LOOP & SPRING CREEK TRAIL
Group 1 – Frank Ralston & Randy Musselman
Departure – 7:00 a.m., Safeway on Colorado Avenue.
Take Hwy. 24 to Buena Vista, Nathrop, St. Elmo, Hancock Pass
.
Take Cumberland Pass to old historic town of Tincup, take
Tincup Pass back to town of St. Elmo, feed the Chipmunks, then
Back home about dark, or stop somewhere for dinner out!
Group 2 – Dave Chladek & Rob Robson
Departure – 7:00 a.m., Safeway on Colorado Avenue.
North on I-25, West on 470 Loop, West on I-70 to
Exit #234 just west of Idaho Springs. Several challenges.
Great difficult trail, only a short distance from Denver area.
Should be able to enjoy the trail, lunch, & home by dark.
AUGUST 22 SATURDAY – BILL MOORE LAKE & SIDEWINDER
Group 1 – Denny Hage & JoDel Jerred
Departure – 7:00 a.m., Safeway on Colorado Avenue
North on I-25, West on I-70 to Idaho Springs area, then north.
Extremely scenic trail with breath taking & awesome views.
Lunch by the lake at the top, Definitely picture time!
Home before dark if all goes well. Good challenges for all.
Group 2 – Pete Johns & Dave Chladek
Departure – 7:00 a.m., Safeway on Colorado Avenue
Sidewinder – A brand new trail this year, let’s all explore!
SEPT. 4 LABOR DAY WEEKEND TRIPS & TRAILS
FRIDAY UNIFIED DEPARTURE – 8:00 A.M.
Safeway on Colorado Avenue. Be prepared in advance!
Group 1 & Group 2 travel together on Friday.
Both groups take Hwy. 24 to Buena Vista, Hwy. 285 to Hwy. 50,
Go west to Gunnison for Lunch, then on to Montrose. Accomodations
must be arranged in advance.
Group 1 – Denny Hage & Rollie Becker – ALPINE LOOP
Tentative plans are:Friday evening - check in to motel or camping area
agree on plans for a group dinner somewhere together if possible.
Saturday at 9:00 a.m. - Departure TBA from Ouray area for entire Group 1
to do the Alpine Loop for the day, starting with Engineer Pass,
Lake City for lunch and shopping/browsing, Cinnamon Pass, including
American Basin, on to Silverton for shopping/browsing dinner and back
to Ouray. Sunday plans and options will be discussed Saturday evening.
Group 2 – Bob Robson - Montrose Area
For suggestions regarding lodging motels, camping, etc. contact
Bob Robson (Cell-719-337-5984, Hm-596-8029 ). Ben Boggans is in charge
of the trails that everyone will take on Saturday and Sunday. Ben now lives
in Montrose and is sponsoring Group 2 for a special Labor Day Weekend.
Plan for a great weekend! Make this one of your favorite trips.
SEPT. 19 SATURDAY – UNIFIED TRIP TO WHEELER LAKE
Groups 1 & 2 – Dick Dyar & Bob Ribisi
Departure – 7:00 a.m., Safeway on Colorado Avenue
Hwy. 24 west past Hartsel, Hwy. 9 north to Wheeler Lake.
This is one of the most scenic trips on our schedule.
Your Club Handbook Cover Picture was taken here last year.
There will be numerous challenges, but with a choice.
Take the challenge or take the bypass route.
This is where you will need a Spotter. So read the
Club Handbook about the signals and be knowledgable.
Lunch at the top beside Wheeler Lake.
Great photo opportunities all along the trail.
OCTOBER 3 SATURDAY – BREAKFAST AT PERKINS JEEP
EAT AT – 8:00 A.M., DEPART – 9:00 A.M.
THE PENROSE TRAIL SYSTEM – INDEPENDENCE
Groups 1 & 2 – Unified – Frank Ralston & Randy Musselman
After breakfast, we go south on Hwy. 115 to Penrose,
Turn right at Brush Hollow Reservoir to the trails.
These are very difficult trails following the path of Dry Creek
Beds & Waterfalls, Everyone will enjoy seeing members of our
CSC4W Club giving this trail their very best.
Bring your lunch, camp chairs, and your camera.
DECEMBER 5 Saturday - Christmas for Kids Parade and Fundraiser
